Steve Murlin is a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant and Senior Client Relationship Manager for Everhart. Steve has more than 28 years of experience in the employer sponsored retirement plan industry, including investment fiduciary services and participant advisory services, along with plan design, administration, and legal/technical aspects.

Steve is a 1975 graduate of the University of Dayton with a major in accounting. He has earned numerous professional designations in the pension industry from such organizations as American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, The American College of Financial Planning, and the Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Steve’s most recent position was with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he served in the role of Retirement Plan Specialist with a large team of advisors. Steve was an Executive Vice President of the Smith Barney K-Group and a member of the advisory committee for Citistreet Retirement Services, a sister company of Smith Barney.

Steve’s prior position was with Meeks & Company, a local actuary and employee benefit consulting firm in Columbus, Ohio. Steve was a Vice President and Principal and served as a senior pension consultant. In this position, he designed and administered hundreds of employee sponsored plans, of all types.

Steve resides in Columbus with his wife Loren and has two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
